Bank Reconciliation · Ind AS 7

A match you can explain to an auditor, line by line.

Ingest the statement and the book, match highest-certainty first — exact, tolerance, narration, many-to-one, one-to-many, then fuzzy — clear the exceptions, sign off under four eyes and publish the BRS. Every match carries its basis and its confidence. No black-box ML: a deterministic match is never replaced by a probabilistic one.

The problem

Auto-match that nobody can explain is not reconciliation.

Tools that ‘learn’ matches produce a matched percentage and no reason. The unmatched residue is where fraud and error hide — and it is reconciled in a spreadsheet anyway.

Opaque matching

A match without a basis cannot be defended when it turns out wrong.

Batches and splits

Gateway settlements, sweeps and virtual accounts break 1:1 matching.

BRS by hand

The statement that goes to the auditor is rebuilt outside the tool.

What others can't do

What a black-box matcher cannot do.

Levels are data — each with a match basis, tolerances, cardinality and a confidence band — so the rule that matched is always on record.

AI roadmap

Deliberately deterministic.

Matching stays rule-based and explainable. AI is aimed at the residue.

Exception triage

Roadmap

Unmatched items grouped and explained, with a proposed rule for a person to accept.

The boundary

Across every FinIFRS product the rule is the same: a deterministic, tested engine computes and stores every figure first. AI reads documents, drafts sentences and answers questions over what is already stored — it never computes, posts or approves an amount.

The questions the room actually asks

Why no machine learning?

Because every match must be explainable to an auditor. The cascade is deterministic and its string similarity is implemented in code, so the result is the same every run.

Beyond the product lines

We build the AI-native finance automation you can't buy.

A regulator's bespoke return, a partner settlement, a reconciliation between two systems only you run. We build it to your requirement on the same engines, audit trail and AI boundary our products run on — in weeks, with golden tests, and handed over as configuration your team owns.

01Deterministic where money movesEvery figure is computed by a tested engine — never by a model.
02AI where documents and questions areExtraction, narrative and Q&A over stored facts, with validation.
03Governance from day oneHash-chained audit, maker-checker and tenant isolation, inherited.
04Yours to changeRules as versioned configuration your controllers edit after go-live.
